I grew up in a Christian family. My parents introduced me to Sunday School at a very young age, to which I am eternally grateful so I have been a believer my entire life, but I made the conscious decision to have a relationship with God 10 years ago in my last year of high school at a weekend challenge. I remember I used to long for something deeper, something more than praying to an abstract God who sits somewhere waiting to strike me if I did something wrong. I also always wondered why I had to keep on repenting or begging God to bless me. And at what point did God forgive me? Is it at the cross or after the wrongdoing? How could I trust God if He wasn’t for me 100%, 24/7? I think I found it safer trusting my earthly dad because his love was unconditional and he always showed up for me, no matter what. As for God, it was like I was never qualified enough for His love hence He was always unpredictable.

Beloved, religion has a way of promising so much but delivering so little. Now I know that God gave up His Son to die on the cross so that I could have a relationship with Him. It was the ultimate sacrifice and I deserved it because God equated my value to the value of Christ. I was bought with a price and my price is the value of Christ. And even if I was the only one in this world, Christ would still have died for me. That is how much one soul means to God. It is very important that you relate with God, as an individual. It is very personal and if you deliberately choose to know God through consistent study and meditation of Scriptures, He will reveal Himself to you in a great way.

Let’s talk about trust

My father has always showed up for me (my mum too but for this illustration, I will use dad). There are times in my life when I felt lost or on the edge and a phone call to my dad would make things better. Dad has never withheld anything good from me. And I trusted him because he was reliable and could be depended on. When it came to my relationship with God, my trust was up to some extent because the perception was if I made a misstep, God would punish me by withholding blessings from me or sometimes the answers to my prayers would be ‘no or wait’ so I had to beg and fast for some things. How inaccurate! This is a misrepresentation of the Gospel!!

The day I understood God’s love is the day I began to trust Him because I realized God actually loved me personally and was interested in my well-being. I was the manifestation of God’s thinking, the epitome of beauty, His royal priesthood, the apple of His eye. I meant something to God. Then I gained more insight; the promises of God are, ‘yeah and amen’ so there was nothing like, ‘yes, no or wait,’ when it came to my prayers. God gave me the Holy Spirit so that I could pray in His perfect will, I mean His Spirit gives me utterance (what to say.) When I speak in tongues, my mind is unfruitful. I speak directly to God, the devil cannot decode what I am saying (1 Corinthians 14) To discuss further later.

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV)

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4)

Then I continued to learn about the love of God. The more I did, the more I let go and completely put my trust in Him.

I now truly 100%+ believe and I am fully persuaded that God is for me. He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise and He can be depended on!! (1 Corinthians 1:9 Amplified)

It is no secret that 2020 has been a tough year for me, but one thing is for sure, God has been at work in me throughout the entire year. I completely trust Him with my life. I am totally convinced that nothing and nobody is powerful enough to deter me from my purpose. I have learned to live and function from a place of rest. Christ in me is my advantage. Christ in me is the evidence that it can only get better (Colossians 1:27).

There are times my vision has been blurred a little bit because of circumstances but I always get back up because I know my Father and I form the majority. Therefore, I cannot afford to fear or fret in this life. The light is not at the end of the tunnel. No. I am walking with the definition of Light as He guides and orders my steps so that I can walk in the fulfillment of my purpose. He bears me up and ensures that none of my feet is bruised on a stone. That’s my God.

Beloved, I may not know which stage you are in life. But one thing is for sure, God loves you. He loved you so much that He did not withhold His beloved son to die for you. What manner of love is this? Allow yourself to take a break from the cares of this life and rest in the Father’s loving arms. God cares for you so why should you care together? Allow Him to care for you!

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)

I know you probably have gone through unimaginable situations but beloved, I urge you today to let it go and lay it all at the master’s feet. Whatever it is. If it is a family/ work/ business/ personal issue, say, “Father I have held on to this issue for the longest time and nothing has changed and even when I have prayed, I still doubted and was trying to solve it on my own. Now, I lay it all at your feet.”

Refuse to fear and if you don’t know how not to fear, say to yourself, “I refuse to fear and worry.” Say it, study the Word, and forget about that issue. If you think about it, let it be in prayer and not just any prayer but the prayer of thanksgiving because you know the case is settled. Learn to trust God. He can be depended upon. He is reliable. He is our Heavenly Father. He cares for us, even more than anyone in this world will ever do.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is [cut and] thrown [as fuel] into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! 31 Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ 32 For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them Matthew 6:30-32 Amplified Bible

God is not a mysterious God. The devil is the one who is mysterious. If you invest in your relationship with the Holy Spirit and take advantage of this ministry, you will always be aware of your environment. Things will no longer happen ‘kwa ghafla’ 🙈 And brethren, let it be settled in your heart that God is on your side.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

God is for you because you are His Son. You don’t stop becoming a son because you made a mistake. No, just like I will never stop being my daddy’s daughter.

Finally, beloved, God will never use the enemy’s tools to teach His children a lesson. The Gospel has been largely misrepresented that people actually believe that God could use sickness to teach them patience. So, you mean Christ became sickness at the cross so that you can walk in divine health (1 Peter 2:24) then God takes the same sickness which is a byproduct of the sinful nature to teach you, His beloved child, patience? Is He really that evil? If my biological dad cannot use his earthly enemy’s tool, let alone even allow his enemy to harm me because I needed to learn a lesson, how much more God?🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️

A certain Pastor tells of a story of a woman who had come for healing at a crusade. When Pastor asked her what she was expecting from God, she said, “ I want to receive healing but I know God is teaching me something through this sickness.” So, the preacher laying hands on her said, “In the name of Jesus, receive more of this condition!” And she said, “No, I don’t want more of that.” And the preacher asked, “So, why should we pray and come in between what God is doing in your life?” And he went ahead to correct her understanding and she received healing and was whole again.

Beloved, we need to know God for ourselves. We need to dig deeper into the Word and go past, ‘my Pastor said.’ We need to be fully persuaded of God’s Word and His love for us. Because if we are not, we will always live our lives in fear, and with plan Bs and Cs in case plan A does not work. When you function from a place of rest and faith in God, plan A is all you need.

See, it is easier to put the blame on God and not take responsibility of the current state you are in. With the Spirit of God, His ability and His faith at work in you, it is possible to walk out of that situation and give your life a meaning. But then it is easier for you to say, God is teaching me how to function in lack so that I will know how to manage my riches in the future or so that I will not deny God. If you study the Word, you will understand that God has empowered you to prosper and abound in good works.

And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [a]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need [b]be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. )2 Corinthians 9:8 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

Papa God has withheld nothing from us (2 Peter 1:3). He has given us everything that pertains to life (material wealth) and godliness (the ability to manifest the character of God.) Armed with this revelation, no matter how tough it gets, your declarations and thoughts should align with this truth. And remember, the Word always works so it is just a matter of time before those strategies, business ideas come to fruition. Your competence, ability, and faith are those of Christ. There is no way you can fail in life.

Not that we are fit (qualified and sufficient in ability) of ourselves to form personal judgments or to claim or count anything as coming from us, but our power and ability and sufficiency are from God (2 Corinthians 3:5 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

We are not saying that we ·can do this work ourselves [L are able/competent/adequate to consider anything as from ourselves]. ·It is God who makes us able to do all that we do [L But our ability/competence/adequacy is from God] 2 Corinthians 3:5 EXB

Let this be your mindset. You have been ordained to be fruitful and prosper. And your fruits should remain. Your fruits should last.

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as [a]presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you (John 15:16 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition.)

When you trust God, it is easy to follow instructions because you know He is in you, with you and for you. Beloved, what other backing do you need? Start that business. Expand that business. Implement that idea. Take that first step. Trust Him. Remember He is reliable and be depended on!

After some recent unpopular but right decisions I made, this has been my prayer, the last 2 months;

God will also confirm me to the end, keeping me strong and free of any accusation, so that I will be blameless and beyond reproach in the day of the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:8 Amplified) And I trust my God with my future. It can only be a perpetual victory parade!

I love you all and I am praying with you,

With love,

Nexcellent
