Yesterday I woke up at 5 a.m., spent some quality time in prayer and the Word, went to the gym because I promised my dad that I was going to live a healthy lifestyle this yearšŸ˜Ž then prepared myself and went to the office. I then developed an action plan for the day clearly showing the priorities, urgent tasks, and what could be delegated e.t.c. Now, note that I had to actively carry out each and every task listed above. I did not sleep in and say, ā€œGod gave this job to me, and it is mine no matter what, so whatever will be will be.ā€ Absolutely not. I put one foot in front of the other and went to the sink and brushed my teeth and went to the office.

ā€˜Whatever will be will be,ā€™ is a very common mentality among many people, even in the church. We tend to shift responsibility to another person and hope that they will solve the challenges & problems, life has posed to us. It is more comfortable that way because if it fails we don’t have to take responsibility. And so, when faced with a challenge, the effort to find a solution is almost NIL because help is expected outside self. And for the Christian, the responsibility to change their lives is on God. If the outcome is good, praise God. If it is bad, praise God because it is His will.

Now, think with me.

A 3-year-old child falls sick, and the mother says, God will heal my child, if it is His will. Interestingly, even her prayers mirror this belief. She asks God to heal the child if He wants to and life goes on. First of all, Godā€™s will for his children is to enjoy life and live it to the full. (John 10:10) He wants his sons and daughters to walk in divine health and victory. John 3:16 reminds us that as long as you believed and confessed the Lordship of Christ, you will not perish. A divine law is at work in the child and mother, that they will not perish through illnesses or any other plans of the wicked and that their lives are preserved. However, instead of the mother waging war for the child, she is comfortable just leaving it to God and expects any outcome. Now, remember the child cannot even intercede for himself at this age and since the woman has not resisted the devil, he terrorizes that 3-year-old child for many years until he dies as a teenager. What a wasted life! And then we all congregate and say it was the will of God. It was the will of God that a child cried in pain for thousands of days only to die in the end? At least if he lived, then that would be a testimony. In a way, it is comforting for the mum to say it is the will of God because then, the responsibility is shifted to someone else.

Imagine, the devil is harassing your child and all you have to say is, “If God wills, He will heal him?” You should say, ā€œFather in the name of Jesus, I rebuke this hawk that is trying to take my baby. My son will live to graduate. My son will live to have his own family. His life cannot be cut short. He is satisfied with long life and his path is as the ever-shining light that shines brighter and brighter till the perfect day of the Lord. Divine health is at work in His body. He is preserved and protected…ā€ And if it seems like the illness is getting worse, add a fast to it. You have to fight for the life of your child. It is a fight but a good fight of faith because victory is assured. Donā€™t accept anything less than the wellness of your baby. Your Pastor or friends might pray for your child but there is something about the prayer of a parent directed to a caring Father. You should never even come close to tasting food until the health of your child is restored. Beloved, it is an abomination for the devil to play gymnastics in your house. Refuse! By all means. And God will honour your faith, of course. We have seen even situations where God has changed His mind because of faith.

Religion has taught many people to just believe in God and all things will happen to them. For the person practicing religion, it is somehow comforting to know that someone somewhere in the skies, holds his future but that is religion, at its bestšŸ˜œ To this person, God is abstract, a concept that exists only in his mind. This person has no experience with God, not as a Father. It is important to note that religion does not produce any results. Religion has a way of promising sooo much but delivering too little. It is like false hope because all you do is follow laws and rules with the hope that one day, it will get better. But it doesnā€™t.

So, what is Christianity?

Christianity is not a religion. Real and authentic Christianity is not a religion. Most of the people in the world do not know what Christianity is all about because the more popular side of Christianity is the religious side of Christianity. Christianity is a living relationship with God! It is divinity in man. Christianity is divinity in humanity. Christianity is the pulsating life of God in a man. Christianity is God dwelling in a man. Christianity is not the practice of going to church each and every Sunday, even if attending services is important and cannot be overemphasized. Christianity is more than that. Christianity is the life of God perambulating in a man who has believed and confessed the lordship of Jesus Christ.

As Godā€™s sons and daughters, we have a responsibility to beautify our lives by exercising our faith which is basically doing the Word of God. Live in the light of the finished works of Christ at the cross. It is all about receiving the whole salvation package and enjoying your rights in Christ. And if the devil does anything to distract this order, deal with him and correct the situation. The victory was obtained at the cross. The outcome is known, why suffer?

Brothers and sisters, develop a fighting spirit in this life. It doesnā€™t matter that you were left in a dustbin. You are out now. Give your life a meaning. Donā€™t accept anything less than what Christ did on the cross. See yourself the way God sees you. You are special to God, a royal priesthood, the epitome of beauty, the manifestation of Godā€™s thinking, Godā€™s glory tabernacled in a man. Oh, Glory to God. Dream big and when challenges come, fight because they donā€™t have any foundation. They are a mirage. Your victory is sure because the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God. Boast in the strength of our Father and do exploits!

Again, it is a good fight of faith because the victory is guaranteed. Jesus went ahead and fought the fight for us on the cross. He gave us the victory. All we have to do is walk in this victory. It is like watching a football rematch***** When you are watching a rematch, the results are already known. Thatā€™s how your life is. God has already prearranged the paths you are to follow while on earth so that you can live the good life. He has given you His Son, His Spirit to guide you to victory. Brothers and sisters, there is an expected end and that is, victory! This is why the fight is good because you have to win. It is not over until you win!! (1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV), John 16:33 (KJV).

If it is a specific job that you desire, be proactive and play for that job. Maybe what your business needs is a little networking. Get out there and meet new people. You might be an introvert but through these interactions, you will meet the person that will invest in your business/ offer you that job. Get out of your comfort zone and do the work. Remember you are not helping God to bless you. Absolutely not. You’re blessed already and you’re just walking in wisdom and listening to the Spirit as He orders your footsteps. And as you listen to Him, His grace puts you at a point of advantage. You find that you’re always the most premiered one. That you’re meeting the right people at the right place and at the right time.

The quality of your life is dependent on Godā€™s Word. It is possible to live a high quality of life. How much of God’s Word do you have inside you? Are you acting on this Word? Are you fully persuaded that God’s Word concerning your life is true? Because if you are fully convinced, you’ll act on His Word and unleash your faith in your environment. Beloved, it is possible to live above this world. This is the life that Jesus brought to us (John 10:10). You can talk yourself out of your current situation. Use your mouth to talk yourself to the top.

Say this with me, ā€œI am a child of God and Iā€™m going to live a victorious life that Jesus has given me!Ā Iā€™m making progress. Iā€™m using my tongue. My confessions of faith, success and abundance create realities. I am what God says I am. Iā€™m making progress. Watch out world, Iā€™m coming in the name of Jesus!!!ā€

Whatever will be will be is a lie from the devil. Refuse to subject yourself to live under this lie.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7

Brothers and sisters, the devil is like a roaring lion but he is NOT a roaring lion and he flees when you resist him. God is the one who created him and He knows that there is a mechanism inbuilt in him that causes him to flee when resisted. Resist him by your faith proclamations. Align your thoughts with the thoughts of God and think that way concerning the future. Do what you could not do before by faith. Your life should not be predictable. I mean when people look at your life, it should not be easy to add up to how you got where you are. The Creator of the Universe calls you my royal priesthood, why should your life reflect anything less? Rise up and walk out of that situation by faith. Fight. You have a responsibility and you owe it to yourself and to many generations not to give up. Even when it seems hopeless, fight. Faith works. The Word of God works. What has God said about you in His Word? Do you believe it? Are you truly convinced and fully persuaded of His promises which are now present hour realities?

You can do it because Christ is at work in you, for you and with you! The Grace of God is also at work in your life! Cheer up and take responsibility for your life. Exercise your faith and implement those business ideas, apply for that job because Christ has gone ahead of you and it is all working for your good.

Beloved, remember that the victory is guaranteed so fight by faith knowing that the victory is yours. It is a perpetual victory parade! Go ahead and register faith exploits in your studies, family, friends and life! Only perfection and Excellence are allowed!!

Happy New Week

I’m praying with you and for you!

With love,

Nexcellent
